I know it had been a little while since I had sat down and posted an update here but I didn't actually realise it had been 13 days!! oops.......time has gone scarily fast and the first half of the first month of the year has already gone. Although definitely not wasted - it has been filled with some really solid and consistent training and getting more so day by day. We have also had the second lot of family come and go - which is always nice and also a nice distraction in between training. So today has really been the first day where I have had time to sit down and do some catching up - finally got around to the inbox pile-up (although the desk pile-up is not looking so good) and the Christmas decorations have also come down (yep normally they don't make them into January but they seem to have loitered a little long this year). I have to say it is so nice to be home at the moment and getting into a routine with the training - there is nothing like an extended period in one place (preferably home) to start getting rhythm going and I am a creature of habit too (I think most athletes probably are) so familiarity of training venues, training partners, and no travel has been beneficial. Now I just need the consistency of training to carry over into consistent updates......!
