I can't believe how quickly the last month has gone! Lawrence really feels like home these days and the familiarity has made settling in and settling into a good training pattern quite easy. So the last few weeks have gone really well - the weather has been beautiful, the training hard and enjoyable and I am really looking forward to racing this weekend down in Galveston. The race has a pretty stacked field on both the men's and women's sides so it will definitely be a good hard test. I actually just looked at the bike course map yesterday and there should be no excuses for getting lost!! - looks like 28 miles in a straight line, then a U turn and 28 miles straight back home! I have also heard Galveston can be pretty windy so that means either a vicious headwind/tailwind or we might be battling cross winds the whole ride - think I will be packing a couple different Zipp wheel options. Also been working on lots of other projects and nutrition work which has kept me busy. If anyone is in Chicago next week I will be doing a Q and A on racing and nutrition at Runners High'n'Tri Wednesday evening - hope to see you there!!
