You know it is time to head overseas when it starts to get cold. Although by that I am using the Australian definition of cold and more specifically the NSW north coast definition - that is if you are riding with arm warmers on at 6am and spend several minutes when you get up deciding on whether it is worth wearing a vest for the first 15 minutes of cycling before having to pocket it for the rest of the ride. Or when you have to wear a jumper at night (with your shorts) while eating on the outdoor deck. That is cold. OK maybe we are a bit soft here on the North Coast but it does feel cold here right now and I am starting to look forward to the decamp. I think too I am just looking forward to getting over and into the racing - and some more hard training blocks.
